It is a fan fiction by Robert and myself. (More or less this is my side of it.) But in this case its the third in his and second in mine. "It's mainly about our favorite characters and our own characters being binded into one dimension as they fight along side each other to save humanity as they know it!" Expect craziness, lots of characters, and crossover mania. It's more OC fiction if you think about. Here's Robert's website
Warning though, I've never been known for writing fanfiction. (Other than the really old Jewels of Life fanfic for Zelda.) (And now the other REM)
Copyright stuff, reminders,
Characters and settings are copyrighted to their respectful owners in both Robert's and my REM, as well as our own characters belong to us, songs that come up are copyrighted by those who own them, and those who join in belong to themselves, ect, pairings (at least in mine, I have no clue in Robert's) are either limited to Canon or are just OCs with OCs you get the point, This fic could be considered rated T for blood and mild cursing, blah blah, characters are protrayed (excuse spelling) usually as we see them, so yeah, Oh yes one more thing. Who ever owns the White Sadan, you left your lights on.
I will attempt to put up pictures of the characters as this goes along.
Cause it’s all in my head,
I think about it over and over again,
I replay it over and over again,
And I can’t take it, I can’t shake it, No.
Oi, what am I going to do? My eyes shift over to the row of mirrors hung over the tiled walls and dripping sinks. I brush the bandage by accident with my hand and wince. A long cut perhaps by glass? They said I walked into the door but... still. The dream last night, Vaati, NiGHTS, Shin-ku, and that person who said he was Link. Both Robert and Kyle don't seem to remember. Why? Why do I remember and why did what happened to me acually affect me? Confusion reflected in the mirrors' surfaces as well as a feeling of danger. No one else was there. Shiny glass tile glinted in the light from the high window. My black "twenty pound" bookbag was thrown into the corner. I guess I need to rethink things over... from this morning. I sigh and glance back at the door. Nothing here feels right. Robert and Kyle are going to be wondering where I am, and the teachers know I finished most of the stuff already anyway. I still can't believe the whole thing was just a dream. I hold my head in my hands; flashes rise to the surface, mere ghosts to me. Something... holding this back.
"You haven't changed a bit, haven't you," called a wind-whisper voice drawing out the words like syrup.
"It may be in my best interests to keep you alive but it would be better to keep quiet just the same," He said as the wind heaved her up
into the air in above him.
"Take care of these two and make sure you bring the girl. Dead or alive, it doesn't matter. Preferably whole. Kill any working with that pigface Ganon."
"Let go! Let me go!"
~End of CLin Pov-
-High Hill Middle School 5th Period
Renku fiddled with the hourglass trying to ignore Naomi, one thing was that he didn't know how they even got back here. Even then, new faces seemed to be popping up in the old school. Yet, no one seemed to pay it no mind. Like it was always that way. Naomi wasn't helping his thoughts though. Gold eyes glittered under black hair as she hummed a song beside him. Sky blue eyes flickered back to her and he relaxed. Slight blush crossed his face and he turned away walking off to the next class. Over seven hundred years old and I still can't look at her without blushing. I still have something to do though. She watched in confusion, wondering what was wrong. Hm. Naomi walked slowly on to her class a little worried and sad. She hummed as she wondered. What's wrong? What could be wrong?
Believe... it's worth saving
And to get lost
Lost in a day dream
So why hesitate
Take me to another place
So far far away
So I can get out of the dark
"I blew it," Renku muttered under his breath. "Idiot, idiot, idiot!" He walked into the gym and passed Kyle and Robert over hearing a part of the conversation. He didn't turn his head, but if he had he might have seen worry on at least on of their faces. He didn't like to easedrop but something caught his attention. Other than the dodgeball flying past his head. Figures.
"So, where's CLin?"
"Haven't seen her since 2nd period...She said something about Hyrule."
"Hyrule?" "Well, I'm sure she'll be here..."
Hyrule? That sounds familiar. He shook his head, one strange thing at a time. Just one thing over and over again. Too much even for the Ku no Toki.
-Several hours earlier~
The brown-haired girl sat upright in her bed, moonlight streaming in from the window. A soft wind blew into the room ruffling her hair and the purple nightshirt. Two fans were also blowing keeping the room cool. A song on the radio echoed through the back of the house. Grey eyes furrowed in confusion searched the shadows as ghosts of the dreamworld played across her eyes. How is this... how did this? CLin got up and started to search for a tablet to write on before she forgot. That was some night. Not to forget. Please. Don't let this... slip away.
I can’t wait to see you,
Wanna see if you still got that look in your eye,
That one you had for me before we said our goodbyes,
And it’s a shame that we gotta spend our time being mad about the same things (over and over again) about the same things (over and over again)
Flashes of the dreams. So many. Please... Don't let this... this slip away. She stumbled forward holding her head.
"Hell no! I'm done with dealing with you; you're surposed to be dead!" She backed away glaring with hatred. Her body shook with fear.
"Oh, really touching, I have someone for you to.. meet."
The figure had long light purple hair flowing down his shoulders and over one eye.
There was a black marking under each eye. His eyes were deep red contrasting with his pale skin. Albino pale I should say.
He wore a dark purple cap with a red jewel in the center surrounded by a gold border.
"No it can't be, you're from a freaking video game," she shouted regaining a normal stance.
It's just-- What the hell am I to think, it's a dream/nightmare so why can't I wake up?
"Touch me again and the next will be below the belt." She walked on and grabbed the spear the other moblin dropped. He unsheathed his sword placing it at her back.
"I could just lock you back in the room and leave you for the mini mage." His smirk was getting on her nerves but he reminded her of someone.
"You could... So who do I have to thank for saving me." I could have done it myself with a little time.
The morning passed by like a flash. The school seemed to be where she was in merely a second, and the classes slipped by like ice. Her two friends didn't seem to remember a thing. Homeroom, 1st, 2nd, 3rd she darted in the girls bathroom in the old building. One of the only parts refinished.
CLin stumbled forward and the present came back into view, nearly knocking her into the doorframe. The crystal on a silver chain bobbed around her neck making the clay pendent ocarina ring with a ping! The room looked darker to her. Concussion? Now what I'm I blabbing about now?
"Well at least I know something's wrong." The temperture seemed to drop. But rational though wasn't going to be her strongpoint at the moment. With her back to the mirror she never saw what was coming.
Moonlight streamed in from the school office window, Naomi sighed. Why did I decide to stay at school with Ren? The old building seen from the view of the main area stood out from the darkness. Strangely enough they said someone disappeared today, if I wanted to get away that's where I would go. Red hair stood out from the background as Renku shifted through old records prompting a raised eyebrow from the girl. He handed her several dusty folders full of various records. Mostly background checks, birth dates, school attendance yada yada. She waved the thought from her head. Other crazy stuff can wait later. Firstly,...
"Now remind me, why the hell are we doing this Ren?"
"Ren" continued rummaging through the files, his brow creased in thought. Several files sat on the table and by his hand all without outward names written on the tabs. The only thing alike in the files he picked was a weird misprint. At least that's what everyone at the office thought.
"Aha!" He pulled one last file out, the cabinent closing with a clang. Renku spread out all of the school files he found on the large central table in the main office. All of them except a few were open to the same pages. The ones open had an overview page in them, showing everything from birth date to what they made. The strange thing is they all hold a death date as well. But the files hold imformation on current progress. Which... doesn't add up. Ren waved her over to the table.
"See anything weird?"
"Nothing out of the ordinary, really, I've been through the files when working in here."
"Read the death dates, then the progress." She looked skeptical but read through, her face turning a pale white.
"Ren, why are there files on todays progress on someone who is dead?" He shook his head.
"Because something is up."
"These are people who go here now." She stared at him with wide eyes.
"I know." He glanced back and answered again.
"We might want to go home before someone finds us still on campus."
"Right!" Black hair bounced around gold-black eyes as she rushed past him.

CLin held the doorframe, using it as a lift just to stand up. Light-headed and somewhere between awake and asleep. The mirrors, dark with a shadow, gave her the creeps. A bump on her head showed what might have happened when she stumbled. She shook her head and grabbed her bookbag glancing back at the mirrors. I need to get home. These flashes might end up being the death of me. CLin stumbled forward trying to keep an even balance. Leaning on the outside wall she looked up into the night sky noting the full moon as she looked for a way to get home without causing a problem. Link is going to kill me for this... Oi. She slapped a hand on her forehead, wincing as she realized that wasn't such a good idea. This going to be a long long night.

~Back at the house.~
"I can't believe I promised to cover for her." Deep blue eyes glared up at the ceiling partly covered by messy dirty-blonde hair. He held a blue cellphone in his hand tossing it up and down being bored. I still wonder how she gets into messes like what she's probly in now. Something nagged at him though, she usually doesn't end up this late unless she's really in trouble. Sigh, maybe I should see if I can find her.
Midnight in montgomery, Silver Eagle, lonely road,
I was on my way to Mobile for a big New Years Eve show,
I stopped for just a minute to see a friend outside of town,
Put my collar up, found his name, and felt the wind die down.
The wind blew around her tugging on her brown hair. She pulled the coat from her bag, now pulling it closer, shivering. I really need to get home. And fast. The moonlight shone bright in the night against the dark purple sky. CLin had seen a figure watching the office building, a figure that seemed to be carrying a Mannequin? Never the less, the person made a chill run down her spine. Something about it-him wasn't right. Her hand clutched around the crystal around her neck. Shadows moved in the pale light, more moved in the red light of a car pulling out from the school. A train passed by on the tracks by the school. CLin took off to the other side of the building and down the road to her house. The view of the school at night being a song back into her head. I can worry about what that guy is doing here after I'm home.
Well, I climbed back on that eagle, took one last look around,
Through red tail lights a shadow moved slow across the ground,
And off somewhere a midnight train is slowly passing by,
I could hear that whistle moaning,
I'm so lonesome I could cry,
