Midnight Ride
|
I woke up in the middle of the night, As I felt the wind and its might, I saw the wind carry a lost kite.
I got up on my mare, So I rode without a care, With the night wind in my hair, She and I were a riding pair.
The fog lifted slowly out of the cold midnight air, As the moon shone through and highlighted my hair.
I don’t know when daylight broke, Was it after I had passed the old oak?
After I had gotten back to bed, The past seemed to replay in my head.
Seven years all was a time I spent, In a place I never went.
My adventures all were rebound, Back to the time I wasn’t around.
Though I’ll never remember exactly what happened that day, I wonder if it will ever go away.
I guess my time was spent this night, On the reins of a Midnight Ride. |
Love Though Seven Years
In the dawn of the day,
He would walk down the way to the ranch,
We talk in the early morn and meet back at noon.
Yet as I stay here and wait,
My heart wants to break,
As I know he’s not coming soon.
As I watch the days go by,
The more my heart cries.
As I wait day by day,
The pain will not go away.
One year already gone,
I just can’t go along.
My hope stayed with me,
As I hoped you will be.
Safe where you are,
Yet now it’s like a blur.
Two years had gone by,
Sigh.
As my life went from bad to worse,
All my father could do was curse.
So I waited for your return,
And still my Heart seemed to burn.
Three Years were downcast,
But I held on to the past.
As I sang my mother’s song,
My pain seemed long gone.
I came to the point where my life changed,
And my pain was rearranged.
The Fourth year had taken its toll,
I felt the pain reach my soul.
As I realized my fate,
I tried to forget the day we met at the gate.
The Seventh year had reached the land,
Something seemed to grasp my hand.
My hope had gone long ago,
Down time’s river it did flow.
I was singing, my heart seemed to stop,
When I saw a man come to me I almost dropped.
He was familiar yet seemed to be,
Changed and otherworldly.
As I saw him my heart seemed to melt,
I could barely contain the things that I felt.
He had an ocarina in his hand,
By his side a fairy from the woodland.
The boy I saw before,
Is he the one I was waiting for?
As I looked at him there,
He played the song of the mare.
He was the one.
My love from seven years ago,
Link, the Fairy Boy.
Music
Hum a little tune,
A sweet little melody,
And magical song.
Kitty
I see a cute cat,
Jumping after another,
In a cute way.
Bell
The glittering bell,
Left a song that kept singing,
A lovely clear tune.
